The J.C. Newman Cigar Company Museum and Factor Store has implemented a variety of health and safety precautions for our visitors and staff to ensure you can visit us comfortably. Below are the important steps to help you plan your visit.
J.C. Newman Museum and Factory Store is currently open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with behind the scenes tours on Monday, Thursday and Friday at 9:30 am, 11:30 am, and 1:30 pm.
Because we are only allowing 9 visitors per tour, it is highly encouraged that you book your tickets ahead of time. More information on tickets here.
How We’re Keeping You Safe
Reduced capacity on behind the scenes tours.
Temperature checks at the door; a temperature above 100 not permitted entry.
Hand sanitizers throughout the Museum.
Touch-free payment + credit card only (no cash handling) to minimize contact.
Increased disinfecting of high-touch surfaces.
All staff and visitors required to wear face masks (worn over nose and mouth).
What to Expect When You Visit J.C. Newman
Masks are required for entry by all visitors (with the exception of children under the age of three). J.C. Newman reusable masks are available for purchase for $8. Masks must be worn while in the museum and for the duration of any behind-the-scenes tours.
Upon arrival, all guests will be temperature checked at the door with no-touch thermometers. Temperatures above 100.4 degrees are not permitted entry.
Please make your way to the desk and check-in for your tour upon arrival. It is suggested you arrive 10-15 minutes early.
Smoking is not currently permitted in the first floor Museum and Factory Store.
Food/beverage not permitted in galleries.
We have set enhanced health and safety guidelines which you must follow while visiting J.C. Newman Cigar Company. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By visiting J.C Newman Museum and Factory Store, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and hold J.C. Newman harmless for any and all consequences of your visit.
